Walking past the merry-go-round, I noticed it was closed yet again for maintenace. This time, some at TAMS with a cute sense of humour made up the signs for it.

Al – I’m also a public servant.
And also – there’s a pretty fair possibility that, in general, I don’t care if I piss people off.
Every time I go to Civic it seems to be closed, and I can’t find a sign with hours of operation. Does anyone know what times it’s open when it’s in operation?
Well Andy, given that some 45% of the entire Canberra working population are public servants, you had a pretty fair probability that your smart arse comment would piss off off a few of us.
At least Kerces appreciated the attempt at wit. Some people – knocked when you play it straight, knocked when you attempt some humour.
For the record, Hargreaves had an announcement a week or so back that they have to give the gigis a touch up. A point which also should be noted with appreciation, given the merry-go-round’s historical nature, because sure as eggs if they didn’t, there’d be someone on here slagging off about them being let run down…
I’m surprise a public servant had the wit to come up with such a comment.
Or, in fact, the time, since, apparently, all we do, is post crap on RA all day.
i saw that like..two weeks ago, i just thought it’d be the best answer to kids asking why its closed..
