This gets better with every reading. Little details like the fire brigade officer intervening are wonderful. And well done to whoever wrote this report; it’s really nicely done.
I wish I had a copy in the dead tree stuff.
I’m calling BS on this one coz they’re extremely civilised in struggle town unlike the pretentious wankers in the capital 🙂

the creative understanding of self-defence
Hang on, what? You mean to tell me that charging off after someone to issue a retaliatory whacking isn’t self-defence? Criminy. What has society come to?

Come on folks.I was hoping for a Mully Award for finding this gem:
the creative understanding of self-defence
the venue
telling the church volunteer to eff off
phoning your mum so you can tool up with her walking stickand then there’s the fact it was in Queanbeyan.

No chance this month, not with bicyclists vs. cars over on the other page.

Needs a four corners expose.
An expose on the dangers of watered down port?
I’m guessing it’s AHA’s fault, or they were ‘pre-loaded’ due to the high cost of booze at the fete… 😉
If alcohol was involved, the AHA will probably use this to back-up their concerns about the Multicultural Festival. But alcohol isn’t mentioned in the report, so it’s unlikely to have been a factor.
Time to have earlier closing hours for church?

Not really, it doesn’t sound like anything serious happened, and it’s not like he was attacking a random person to steal their wallets or anything.
