Queensland man charged over alleged Canberra rape

A 19-year-old man has been charged with five counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

It’s alleged the Sunshine Coast man accompanied a woman to her home in Canberra City from a nightclub early in the morning of Friday, 26 November 2021.

Police will allege he then had sexual intercourse with her without her consent.

He attended Canberra City Police Station yesterday (21 April) where he was arrested.

He is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today.
