I was in the city at the time, and couldn’t see it – but could certainly hear it! Bouncing around all of the buildings, it was impossible to tell which direction the sound was coming from. Actually being in a war zone with those things flying around – especially if you knew they were coming for you – would be absolutely terrifying!
Could you imagine a display along the lines of the blue angels? That would be heaven!

The Super Hornets are operated by 1 and 6 SQN, and are based out of Amberley airbase in SE QLD.

Truly amazing noise! I was also driving, and trying not to look up too much. Like a thousand Ducati bikes in the sky.
