It was the only AGM in town and nobody came.
I wonder what its like trying to lead a non-event

Funnily enough it is actually the Labor Party that has all the money from pokies, unions, and developers.

Daddy sends hugs and he did not buy me the Socialist Workers Party….he bought me the Labor Party instead.
We actually need a stronger Liberal Party in Canberra – because the Labor government is frighteningly arrogant and too close to developers and hopefully will get its comeuppance soon. You know it’s time for a change when the carpark where the ministers park is empty until 9.15 am, with a minister casually walking in after breakfast in a nearby cafe, at 10. Are there any other jurisdictions where the ministry is that lazy? Feds start work at 6 or 7.
Golly! Tio is a nice chap, but who were the competing nominees??? He was a decent restauranteur, but heading up the ACT Libs?

They ‘aint that young 🙂
To be honest, I jumped into the car at about 10pm and put on 666 on the way home, and they simply said ‘Tio Faulkner has been elected the new president of the ACT Liberals’. I thought ‘crikey, I was talking to him literally 3 minutes ago, news gets around fast’.
Honestly the rest is fairly mundane. Good positive atmosphere though. Someone did make a joke about ‘moving forward’ which got some laughs.

Apparently, they resolved to ‘keep going’. The motion to ‘just give up’ was defeated.
Obviously Winston Churchill was part of the quorum.
666 ABC already reported on the important bits. The rest is super secret stuff, involving blood oaths and handshakes and knowing nods.
Actually I just remember the beer being very nice.
