I was up near Old Parliament house last week and saw some reverse graffiti on the pavement. Does anyone know who does this in Canberra?
I think it would be great for an event that we are looking to promote.

There’s an underpass in Belco that had all its graffitti removed about 6 months ago. To date there is not a single piece of grafitti on it. Not a solitary tag.
I’ve got to say, I’m disappointed in the youf of today. They obviously lack the motivation of past generations.

It’s called a water stencil, achieved by placing a stencil on the pavement and then cleaning the bejesus out of the exposed pavement with (I believe) a high-powered spray. Not sure who does these, but a bit of web-searching on ‘water stencil’ will probably get results.
Ahhh, yes, I know what you mean. Done it myself at home when pressure cleaning some cement areas. Interesting suggestion for public graffiti. I guess you would need a commercial setup with water and power?

It may have been last year or the year before, but there was a short film entered in Lights Canberra Action about the guy that does reverse graffiti in Canberra. If you contact the organisors they may know who filmed him or how to contact him. It was awesome!
