This week, we are shining a light on two very special girls who are still waiting for their forever homes. Koko and Souni may be very different in size, but they share something important: both are gentle souls who simply need the right environment to truly thrive.

Dog of the Week: Koko

We cannot quite believe Koko is still waiting.

This beautiful giant has a heart just as big as her frame. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for her, and while she has handled it with quiet resilience, she will truly flourish in a home of her own.

Recently, our team moved Koko to one of the larger yards on the hill where it is calmer and more peaceful. She now has her own space, complete with two pools she adores. With fewer distractions and more room to relax, we are seeing more of her affectionate and gentle personality shine through.

Koko is looking for a home that can offer space, routine, and plenty of companionship. She bonds closely with her people and will reward the right family with unwavering loyalty and love.

If you have room in your heart and home for a big dog with an even bigger capacity for affection, Koko would love to meet you.

Cat of the Week: Souni

Do not let her sad little face fool you. Souni is an absolute sweetheart.

After arriving at the shelter with five feline companions, Souni has found the busy shelter environment a little stressful. However, once she feels safe and begins to trust you, her affectionate and gentle nature becomes clear.

Souni forms close bonds with her people and would thrive in a quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. With patience and kindness, she will blossom into the confident and loving house cat she is meant to be. She has previously lived with other cats and may benefit from a calm feline companion to help her adjust.

For someone willing to give her time and understanding, Souni will be a deeply devoted companion.

Pawnote: We are thrilled to share that Skyla and Scooby, our Pets of the Week from last week, have both been adopted.
