Cat of the Week: Max

We wish you’d seen Max five weeks ago. He came in as a stray with very little experience with people. A prime example of what we refer to as a Project Cat.

Our cattery team worked endlessly and patiently every day, first helping him relax, then earning his trust and developing his social skills. Slowly.

In just over a month, Max has transformed from a scared, unsociable cat into a friendly boy who enjoys a pat. However, his journey is not yet over.

We need Max to be adapted to a patient home, with people who know his journey and will help him gradually blossom. Max also loves other cats, so a home with another feline would be awesome!

Rabbit of the Week: Clive

Clive the Giant Flemish is a wonderful boy, not as big as some of his breed but plenty friendly and, as you can see, very handsome!

We’re featuring Clive because Saturday, 27 September, is International Rabbit Day, so let’s celebrate what wonderful, friendly and loveable pets rabbits can be.

Rabbits like Clive would do well with another rabbit for a friend because he’s very social. He’s lived outdoors (in a run) but would do fine indoors too.

Canberra is home to thousands of rabbit owners who enjoy the love, affection and companionship – along with the relatively low maintenance a rabbit presents. Happy International Rabbit Day – why not celebrate by adopting a rabbit?

Pawnotes: Last week’s Dog of the week, Boof the Cane Corso, is still here and still a big, friendly boof head. We love him very much, and if you follow us on social media, you’ll see that he’s got a birthday surprise coming up.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick Street, Weston, and add a new companion to your life.
