Looking to add a spark to your daily routine or a sweet face to greet you at the end of the day? Meet Max and Gertrude, two unforgettable personalities waiting for their forever homes at RSPCA ACT.

Dog of the Week: Max

Maximus Decimus Meridius, if we’re being formal, but you can just call him Max. His personality is just as big as his name. This pint-sized powerhouse is a mix of Jack Russell, French Bulldog and Pug.

Affectionately known as a “pocket rocket” by shelter staff, Max is always ready for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing toys or making you laugh. He’s shown signs of being housetrained, which is just another reason he’s a great candidate for home life.

Max is also a fiercely loyal little guy, with a protective streak that makes him a devoted companion to those he loves.

Coffee lovers, be warned, Max may try to sneak a sip if you leave your cup unattended! If you’re after a compact companion with a huge heart and boundless energy, Max might just be your perfect match.

Cat of the Week: Gertrude

Sweet, playful and full of charm. Gertrude is the total package. This young feline has spent some time as an office cat and quickly won the hearts of the entire team with her gentle nature and love of affection.

While she may be a bit on the rounder side, Gertrude is embracing a healthy diet to keep her in top shape. Don’t let her size fool you, she still has plenty of zoomies left in her, especially when the toys come out.

Gertrude prefers to be the only pet in the home after being bullied in a previous household. She’s ready to be the queen of your castle, offering cuddles, companionship and a whole lot of personality.

Pawnote: Both Wilma and Ariel were adopted last week.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick Street, Weston, and add a new companion to your life.
