ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault in Spence on Friday night (May 27) in which a 61-year-old man was injured.
The victim, who is vision impaired, had been waiting at a bus stop on Alpen Street, Spence at about 10.30pm when he was attacked without warning by two males.
The victim was knocked to the ground where he was kicked and punched by the two offenders until a passing motorist stopped and the offenders fled the area.
As a result of the incident the victim suffered a number of abrasions on his legs and face as well as swelling to his right eye. He was taken to Calvary Hospital for treatment.
Both offenders are described as being approximately 17 to 19 years-of- age. They were both wearing jeans and one of the offenders was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper.
