Police have arrested a second person after a man was injured in a shooting in North Lyneham earlier this year.

Paramedics were called to treat a man in Florey on 21 March after he received minor wounds from shotgun pellets, an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

After speaking to the alleged victim, police went to North Lyneham and arrested a 24-year-old man.

It is believed the shooting took place at a home in the area.

The 24-year-old man, who does not have a fixed address, was charged with discharging a firearm – endanger life and assault.

Police continued to investigate the matter and on Monday (23 June) arrested a 25-year-old woman from Jacka.

She was charged with aiding or abetting an attempted robbery and being knowingly concerned in the discharge of loaded arms at another person.

The woman was scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday (24 June) while the 24-year-old man is scheduled to face the court again on 10 July.

He has previously been remanded in custody.

The police spokesperson asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website (quote 8001510).
