A sixth person has been charged with murder over an alleged Bega stabbing.
At about 2 am on 6 October, emergency services were called to an East Street park in Bega, on the NSW Far South Coast.
Officers attached to the South Coast Police District attended and found 43-year-old Gordon Kessey, who was suffering from stab wounds. While paramedics tried to provide assistance, he died at the scene.
A second man, 45, also suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital. He has since been released.
Police began an in-depth investigation under Strike Force Nakstone.
As part of their investigation, Strike Force detectives have arrested and charged five other people regarding the alleged offending. All five remain before the courts.
On Wednesday (10 December), a sixth person, Tehata Hori Lewis Hapuku was arrested at Nowra Police Station at about 2 pm.
The 44-year-old has been charged with murder and causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder.
His matter was briefly heard today (11 December), when he did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

On 20 November, four of the co-defendants were arrested – Litisha Mundy, 19, Kody Lloyd, 29, Dion Lloyd, 32 and Benjamin Keith Robinson, 34.
Each of them has been charged with murder.
Ms Mundy was the only one of the four to apply for bail. It was refused the following day, and she was remanded in custody.
Following further enquiries, 48-year-old Serkan Hosoglu was arrested at a hospital in Bega on 23 November.
He was charged with murder and causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder.
He sought bail the next day (24 November), and it was refused.
All six of the accused are scheduled to appear in Batemans Bay Local Court on 19 January 2026.
