The SMH has news of Canberra’s disgraceful capitulation to the cellar dwelling South Sydney last night. The final score was 21-8 and it’s now going to be very hard to make the finals.

I didn’t see Finch last weekend, but I’ve seen plenty of him for the rest of the year. And I stand by my call that he is a dud that costs his team more games than he wins for them. He is the WORST rep halfback for NSW that I can ever remember – compare him to Johns, Mortimer, Sterling, Stuart, Kimmorley, Johns, Barrett and whoever else – he is dead set ordinary…
I always hated Payten but Finch a dud? Did you watch him play on the weekend. I watched a team of duds run around against Souths.
As for having the best u25 pack in the comp, well that would be great if it was an u’25 comp. Just like having a strong reserve grade side, means bugger all to first grade.
Will do nothing until there is a quantum shift in management
Quick review of your side
O’Hara, Priddis (add Woolford for next year), Cross (Thommo, Weyman, Miller all his equal),
Kennedy (left a long long time ago)
Davico (injury prone)
Tongue (legend)
Finch (dud)
Smith, Mogg (I wish they would stay…),
Lolesi (dud), Jensen (dud),
Monaghan (chased $ and the Sydney lifestyle ), Choc (legend)
Res: Monaghan, Carney, Hodgson, Payten (Carney is the best, Hodgson is honey, Payten is ordinary, and Mick Monoghan has blossomed after leaving)
I have some blind faith for next year – Zillman will replace Choc and grow into the position, Dobson is carving up in SuperLeague as Wigans halfback, and Linc can move into hooker. Still, it will be the least experienced team in teh comp, and will struggle not to win the spoon.
But at full strength, the pack of Thommo/Miller/Weyman/Thom LL/Kahler is about the best under 25 year old pack in the comp – if only they could hold their bodies together for a season…
Good ol’ Canberra Faders. If there is one thing you can depend on its their inability to go anywhere. Particularly since their ‘Glory Days’.
No one likes travelling by bus to Sydney. Where have you been Ralph, haven’t seen you about as much lately?
As an aside, try this for a team
O’Hara, Priddis, Cross, Kennedy, Davico, Tongue, Finch, Smith, Mogg, Lolesi, Jensen, Monaghan, Choc Res: Monaghan, Carney, Hodgson, Payten
A team with 6 current run on Raiders players and all the rest…………….the one’s they let go. Surely Raiders management have some questions to answer, going from a powerhouse in the 90’s, to the mediocrity of the 00’s
I’m as amazed as everyone else!
At least North Melbourne beat Geelong at Manuka today. Oops, did I call them North Melbourne?
Typical f**king Raiders
After winning back to back against better opposition and on Channel 9, they believed their own press and failed to turn up against supposed inferior opposition.
A disgraceful performance – Elliot should have made them walk back to Canberra
I had faith until yesterday. Shows the win over the Dragons was more about the other team’s mistakes and was an anomaly.
Another season down the tubes. I would love to be proven wrong, but it ain’t gonna happen again
