My guess is they were running over an election ad campaign poster but didn’t see the speed limit sign directly behind it.

I think if you look closely you will see the other side says 08 not 80, which is what Solidarnosc was referring to.

If no sign, then the default speed limit of 50 applies. However, there is clear signage for 08 kmh on the far side of the road.

I saw a damn hoon on a bicycle doing 15km/h on that stretch of road. Almost double the speed limit. Someone should crush his bike.

That has been flattened for about 3-4 weeks now. Nobody seems to care much – probably too focused on their speedo’s making sure not to go over 80 through the “safety cameras”.
