I didn’t find any reference to him eating dates in my extensive 30 second search. So maybe there’s something in your theory. He preferred wine to sultanas.

Could it be that the priests have been confused about what dates to eat?

I collected trolleys at Woolies ten years ago and had to work on Boxing Day. I was told that Easter Eggs and hot cross buns had come in a few days before Christmas and staff were told to put them on the shelves for sale on Boxing Day.

If I was crucified on a cross I would not be resurrected for dried fruit. Easter should be celebrated by eating crisps.

Woolies looks to ahve rolled them out nationally on Saturday. Mates in WA and Queensland reported seeing, and Woolies Lanyon had them as well.

A friend of ours posted them on FB on the 26th from Woolies Conder.

Why bother taking them off the shelves at all? Next year the eggs and buns will hit the shelves late November, then it will be late October..Stop with the pretence and just sell them all year..Ruins the expectation a little, but I don’t think the major supermarkets really care much about that.
