ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Weston last night (Wednesday, October 31).
Around 9.20pm two men, with their faces covered, entered the Kingsley’s Chicken restaurant on Liardet Street Weston and threatened staff with a machete, demanding cash.
Staff members complied with their demands and the two men left the store with a small amount of cash.
The two men were seen running towards a green Subaru Liberty station wagon. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen earlier in the day, was later located by police on Chauvel Circle in Chapman.
Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Kingsley’s Chicken restaurant yesterday and witnessed the robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
