Rumour has it the Tharwa Bridge will be open by August. Evidently the tender to repair has been awarded and the company has inspected the bridge.
So beaurocratic bungling > 2 years, actual time to fix 5 months.

Well the people of Canberra are good at electing the most idiotic incompetent
people we can find.. stanhopeless, hargreaves, stefaniak, burke, pratt and the other 2 labor members that I don’t think anyone has ever heard of or from. Doubt the coming election will be much different.
What makes you think Pratt will be reelected? He only just scraped in last time and in a town that produces some stunningly ineffective local politicians he stands out as one of the most useless.
At least Pratt would keep the town graffiti free! 😉
And there’d be a Police Officer on every street corner!
If Thumper’s a Liberal stooge, then the Pope’s a Maori!
Just because someone doesn’t like watching Stanhope and his colleages screw the ACT, doesn’t mean they’re a Liberal stooge.
And let’s face it, just one look at the local bunch of Liberals is enough to make anyone sick!
oh thumper i dont mean to berate you, i just think it’s necessary to point out for anyone who stumbles across this page that your views are those of an irelevant and unrepresentative hack…. i dont know why you are getting so touchy….
…..actually i do,… it must be hideously embarrassing to be a liberal stooge these days
Now call me a cynic, but who reckons the ACT Govt will fark the repairing of the bridge up this time too?
wow i was just expecting an insipid denial….its almost as if i hit a nerve
an election later this year? that wouldn’t explain the re-emergence of prominent local regressive Johnathon Reynolds (are you seeking preselection by the way?) or liberal stoolie thumpers daily anti-stanhope/labor tirades, would it?
nah, why ever would someone think that
I wonder if the sudden expediency has anything to do with an ACT election later this year?
