That blonde thing on his web site looks like the tail of a female lyre bird. I wonder where in Namadgi the images were taken? I’d prefer to avoid that area.

It seems like Dave needs a girlfriend!
Maybe there’ll be a mysterious figure wearing a bikini and a balaclava in the next episode?
Here she is, the “blonde hairy thing” on this page… http://www.davesact.com/2012/05/strange-things-happen-in-namadgi.html
But it must have been after he managed to get her balaclava off.
Well either her balaclava or her bikini bottoms, I’m not sure which.

If you look at the right side of the frame, there is a shadow movement, looks like something moving near where your heads shadow was when you walked out of the frame.
What you should have done is have two people do it, and have the second person enter from the right, that would have made it look like you were being followed, not you looking back at the camera.
Brilliant! I especially like the way the ‘mystery’ person knew exactly where to stop so they would just get their head into the shot! Hahahaha!

I am actually surprised this even got put up, it’s something a 12 year would do….
Filmed by a 12 year old. Posted by a 13 year old. Commented on by incredibly mature persons of great intelligence…

This is really poorly done.
First, we never see Dave;s head as he walks away.
Second, we never see the stalker’s clothing.
Third, look at the shadows.
Forth, Do ya think Dave might have missed some one he walked right past?
Fifth, Dave you still owe me a slab of beer for lending you that balaclava mate.
Dave, your shadow is there throughout the footage. You leave, then you come back with the balaclava on. Shadow is consistent – no gap where it isn’t there.

Bahaha, Dave Reid (if it’s the same one) was responsible for one of the worst films of all time in ‘Strange James’, the first film I think to achieve a total of 0 stars from David and Margaret.
Actually, David gave Romper Stomper no stars as well.
I didn’t see any baclava in this clip. Then again I didn’t see any dolmades either.

Why would a Yowie be wearing a balaclava?
This was my first thought. Obviously the Yowie was up to no good. Did the OP note if any white commodores were parked nearby?

This is canberra who leaves a camera anywhere and expects to find it again?
Well it’s great that he can get away with it and if you look at his website he has obviously had some success. I find these images from trail cameras quite interesting, keep up the good work Dave.

Now, it seems he is responsible for the worst attempt at viral marketing of all time.
What rubbish are you peddling this time Dave?
Nope not me.

Of course, everyone here is missing the most obvious explanation.
Yowie.
No doubt 😉
Why would a Yowie be wearing a balaclava?
If that’s true, then it is kinda odd.
Pig hunting ninjas. I wonder what damage a ninja star would do to a razor back?
hahaha, if there really was a stalker, the video guy would have run right into him given the time difference and the fact that the bushes and his shadow haven’t even moved when mr balaclava comes into view. funny.
i also love all the CSI treatment the video has been given…freeze frame, slow motion, replaying for no reason….brilliant
So in the 10 secs that you had left the screen you didn’t see this guy walk right past you?
you weren’t exactly sprinting away from the camera.
I believe him. Surely if someone wanted to come up with a hoax they would be able to come up with something far more amazing. Why would someone bother to go into so much detail for a prank?
Watch at 0:07/0:08 where he pulls something out of his pocket…. really? we arent that gullable Dave!
Dave has a fairly active youtube channel usually with videos about local history and recently bought the game camera to capture pictures of wildlife but I don’t think hes the type to fake this kind of thing ( although if I didn’t know all this I would have no trouble writing it off as fake)

I call shenanigans on this one!
The man in the balaclava is likely to be Dave, it would take about 10 seconds to put on a balaclava!
Dave, next time run around behind the camera and pop your balaclava clad head into the top right hand corner….. That would be much believable. 🙂
+1 Agreed. How stupid does Dave think we all are
From the evidence presented here, I would say infinitely so. That’s your own fault

I can only present to you what was presented to me… 15 seconds of video after I left. You can make any call on that you like.
Mmmm…. SAS training exercise? Nah, they wouldn’t make the mistake of leaving you alive evidence on film.
