Katy Gallagher has announced that we should soon be able to know how much Territory-owned corporations are paying their executives.
“The legislation will ensure there is a complete picture of the remuneration awarded to each director and up to five of the highest paid senior managers in a Territory-owned Corporation, including ACTEW Corporation Limited, ACTTAB Limited and Rhodium Asset Solutions Limited,” ACT Treasurer, Katy Gallagher said today.
“I believe there is strong community expectation when it comes to the disclosure of remuneration of those who are in positions of responsibility and influence in major organisations. In the public sector, the remuneration of our Senior Executives is open and transparent. It is also the case in publically listed companies that executive remuneration is disclosed,” she said.
If it gets passed this month Ms Gallagher expects this year’s annual reports will include the information.
