Jawm has sent in this lovely shot (even if it is in portrait) taken on top of Mt Gingera last Thursday evening.

Has anyone camped around here? What’s it like? Looks beautiful.
@LSWCHP “What really distresses me about this whole business is that Jawm was up there last Thursday, and I wasn’t” …I hear you! I took a couple of days off from the 21st century and spent it out in nature – the perfect de-stressor and a great way to put our mad and silly world back into perspective!
What really distresses me about this whole business is that Jawm was up there last Thursday, and I wasn’t. :pout:
It really is cruel and unusual punishment to post things like this to an army of office workers. My envy of Jawm knows no bounds.
@EvanJames: “from the top you can see the MLC Tower, among other things.” indeed – as the sun was getting very low I could even see the wind turbines over on the far side of Lake George. That surprised me.
@creative_canberran: “How were the roads after all the wet last week?” I hiked up (and back) from Corin Dam (along Stockyard Spur) so the only bit of Mt Franklin road (track) I saw was from the Stockyard Spur turnoff down to the base of Gingera. That area was fairly wet with plenty of water coming off the mountain …freshest water I’ve tasted in a while (though I did chicken out and boil it for a few minutes before drinking it). 🙂
Wonderful work, it’s a lovely location up there. How were the roads after all the wet last week?
I haven’t been up there since the fires, but from the top you can see the MLC Tower, among other things. And Mt Jagungal to the west, which is at the northern end of the Snowy Mountains.
