Community CPS Australia is encouraging you to get hooked up to volunteer next week:
Leading credit union Community CPSAustralia is connecting Canberrans with worthy volunteering opportunities through their unique ‘Community Volunteers’ program in support of National Volunteers Week from 14th – 20th May 2012.
‘Community Volunteers’ is a national volunteering initiative, run by Community CPSAustralia in partnership with Volunteering ACT, to promote and increase volunteerism by connecting potential volunteers with not-for-profit organisations and charities.
The program features a website where potential volunteers can access volunteering vacancies available, and an online register for participants to register as a Community Volunteer and be contacted when vacancies arise.
Community CPSGroup senior manager ACT/NSW Chris Blight said National Volunteers Week was the perfect time to highlight the need for more volunteers, as many charities and not-for-profits would struggle to survive without them.
