Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. We’ll have a look into making the information on DAs on actpla.act.gov.au more useable to help people keep up to date with new applications.

Strange – I get the emails and have been getting them for about a year or so since I signed up (comes from living in a so called medium density location) but I couldnt spot the link on the ACTPLA website. Maybe they dont do it any more

I dont have a current email/notification so cant look at that for assistance – when I get another one I will revive this posting if I have any more info.

You can set up an email alert on the ACTPLA website to send you an email when an application is lodged that meets certain criteria – for example, applications that are in your postcode. This does throw up applications that you don’t care about (a deck three suburbs over), but you will get the important ones as well.

This looks like a great idea. With a bit of tweaking (for example, including the address) this could be a worthwhile list to keep up-to-date with, especially if its included on RA on a weekly basis. Trying to read through the ACTPLA site (which includes DAs that have already passed) is quite a challenge compared to this nice brief summary.

I also think it would be useful to have a brief summary of what each DA is about, rather than just ‘additions/alterations’, it would be useful to have ‘addition of new pathway’ or ‘alteration to make business signage larger’.
