ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault in Griffith on Saturday night (December 10).
Around 11.20pm, a 27-year-old man was waiting with his wife for a taxi outside the Eastlake Football Club on Oxley Street when he was approached by two men. One of the men asked the man for directions, before punching him on the side of his face.
The man fell to the ground and lost consciousness for a few minutes. He also received facial injuries from the assault.
The first man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 180cm (5’8”) tall with short black hair and a solid build.
The second man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 170cm (5’7”) tall with a medium build. Both men were wearing black pants and black T-Shirts.
The two men were last seen walking along Eyre Street towards Canberra Avenue.
