ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a suspicious house fire in Isabella Plains which occurred early this morning (Sunday, August 28).
Around 4.50am Tuggeranong police were conducting a mobile patrol in Isabella Plains when they observed a house in Ellerston Avenue on fire. Police gained access to the rear of the premises and determined no one was home.
The ACT Fire Brigade arrived shortly after to control and extinguish the fire but the house sustained major damage. No one was injured in the blaze.
An initial assessment by police and fire investigators deemed the fire as suspicious. AFP Forensic Services will attend the scene to determine the cause of the fire when the structure is deemed safe to enter.
