I remember when we moved here in 1969 there was a policy of not approving home plans with red roofs. The reason given was that “we don’t want the place to look like Sydney”. Most roofs in Canberra back then were black. Things have changed since then.
Awesome pic. Will be interesting to see what the view was 20 years ago from that spot – and wonder what it will look like in 20 years time

I reckon Tuggeranong is one of the prettiest parts of Canberra. It really does the wide open spaces well, which opens up beautiful views of the mountains.
I don’t live there, but the view of the ranges from most parts of Tuggers is amazing.

Btw it’s a shame they seem to have abandoned the policy of having a colour scheme for the area. The red roofs look so nice from this side.
