Traffic on the Tuggeranong Parkway was reduced to a crawl after a two-vehicle collision on Saturday night (22 September).
Around 6:30 pm, emergency services attended the scene of an accident on the Tuggeranong Parkway near the turnoff towards Cotter Road.
While at the scene, another collision occurred when two cars rear-ended each other, causing further delay to traffic.

An ACT Policing spokesperson reminded motorists to pay attention to the road and slow down near accidents.
“Motorists are reminded of the law introduced this year requiring them to slow down to 40 km/h when passing emergency service vehicles that are stopped with lights activated,” the spokesperson said.
“Additionally, drivers are reminded that distractions such as incidents and roadworks can increase the risk of a collision. Pay attention to the road ahead and concentrate on the important task of driving.”
