Huh? Just what do renegade theatre groups do? Random street performances? Extort funding grants? Kidnap audience members from other groups? Do they have initiation ceremonies for new members? And if there are multiple groups, do they have turf (stage?) wars?

Slam poetry is poetry reading on steroids. Poets perform original material under 3 minutes for glory and cash prizes. It’s competitive, dirty, loud and high octane.

Wow, a whole entire poster and only two or three words on it give any indication as to what the event actually *is*…
