The ultimate cause is good. But Thumper summarises my point. I have seen many a lady get pissed as a newt in a Canberra nightclub. I doubt drink spiking with illegal drugs has anything to do with it.

As I see it, the night is supporting a group of people who do great work in providing support and advice for those individuals who really do need all the help they can get. That in my mind is worth more than $15 and a few beers.

it is safe to say that the drink spiking thing became inflated through viral email… I have heard of a few genuine cases thoug. regardles raping someone whether via drink spiking or just taking advantage of them when they are too drunk is still abhorrent.

It seems that research in Australia and OS says that drink spiking is not the problem. It is having too many drinks or having double shots of drinks that are the problem.

Maybe awarness of responsible drinking should be done.
