I think the EpiPens are hard to get as they:
a) Cost a lot of money
b) Have a short expiry time
So the government stops GPs from handing them out easily. The actual PBS guidelines are:
—–
Initial sole PBS-subsidised supply for anticipated emergency treatment of acute allergic reactions with anaphylaxis in a patient who:
(a) has been assessed to be at significant risk of anaphylaxis by, or in consultation with, a clinical immunologist, allergist, paediatrician or respiratory physician. The name of the specialist consulted must be provided at the time of application for initial supply; or
(b) has been discharged from hospital or an emergency department after treatment with adrenaline for acute allergic reaction with anaphylaxis;
Continuing sole PBS-subsidised supply for anticipated emergency treatment of acute allergic reactions with anaphylaxis, where the patient has previously been issued with an authority prescription for this drug.

Hope that helps.
Would have thought it a bit late for a warning, most of my bees used to swarm in September, maybe the wet weather delayed them this year.
Bees are usually in a good mood when they swarm (filled up with honey) and so are less aggressive. Can get more aggro when setting up new home
mothy you need to get in contact with your doctor and get a referal to a allergist who will then decide if you need one and give you a script. pretty important to do if you feel you need one. Dont leave it till its too late
Does anyone know where (or what hoops I need to jump through) to get hold of an EpiPen?
Have a Bee Allergy that has gotten increasingly severe each time, has not reached a point where I’ve been unable to breathe but would probably not want to wait till it does that before I investigate my options.
