Um Spectra, is it ok if I um, ask if um, the girl 2nd from the left front row is um, you know, um, is that your wife? 🙂
Highly recommend it to anyone 🙂 http://www.jumptown.org for details.
I’ll second that recommendation – the Jumptown instructors are lovely, fun people. We learnt swing dancing for our wedding as an alternative to the shuffling bridal waltz that everyone’s bored with 🙂 Totally worth it.

Why not do something in a similar vein – group dance a la Fat Boy Slim video clip “Praise You”

You know what, a flash mob swing dance would be super fun to see. Not just in front of Parliament House, but somewhere like Garema Place at 3pm when everyone’s in mid-afternoon slump.

We all need to dance more. I am not surprised that Granny dances, you can hear it in the tone of her typing.
There should be more dancing in front of Parliament House. It would change the country’s attitude to Canberra if every time they showed some politician shooting his mouth off, there were some Canberrans dancing in the background…
Why not dance in front of Parliament House? If you’d ever seen me strut my funky stuff, you wouldn’t be asking that..
The next lot of beginners lessons with Jumptown start in the last week of April. I’ve been going on and off for 18 months now, it’s great fun. Great bunch of instructors, the vibe is always happy.
Highly recommend it to anyone 🙂 http://www.jumptown.org for details.
Wish I’d would get off my lazy arse and learn something like that, so very cool. The chick second from the left was my favorite, she was rocking.
Right, time to settle back into my chair and waste more time on the internets 🙂
Jealous – I would’ve loved to have joined in on this, I haven’t swing danced for so long…
