Police will charge a woman with attempted murder after she allegedly tried to kill a man in Braddon last month.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said a 37-year-old woman had been at her home in Lowanna Street, Braddon, with a man on the afternoon of 2 January.
It is alleged the pair began arguing before she stabbed him with a knife, causing serious injuries.
“The man was able to flee the scene and seek medical attention,” the spokesperson said.
Police received reports of a disturbance at the home at the time, but when officers arrived they could not find the man or identify any offence. More information about the alleged incident came to light two days later.
Police expect the woman to be charged with attempted murder when she faces the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday (20 February).
