Oh you poor things
Agreed… Why can’t people think of the other side before saying poor me? And if that lollypop man happens to be a child crossing the road and you hit them, expect to go to prison for negligent driving. Driving sun-blind is not an excuse for running into things.

Bloody Nishi development gives me the poops. Driving trough that area, particularly going city bound is taking your life in your hands with all the merging you have to do in such a short space. I don’t think it’s going. Be much better when it’s finished with what looks like bother set of traffic lights gong in.
Well I don’t know about the Nishi development, but looking at the ABC News coverage I was more concerned about the building next door which looks like a messy house of cards ready to fall down at a moment’s notice. Has WorkSafe ever inspected that particular building?
Quite a bit wrong apparently
I noticed that one of the pics in the Crimes shows one of the inspectors wearing a hi-vis vest that is not appropriately done up. That is an infringement worthy of an on the spot fine.

So, what is all this hype about? I see a typical construction site with scissor lifts, barricades, fluoro vests and WHAT??? If it’s worth tweeting, then please ELABORATE without keeping us in suspense!!!!
Nothing in the image looks out of the ordanary to me either.
What was wrong on this site?

This development is such a nightmare to drive past, particularly at Sunset.
They keep changing the lane arrangements, the kerb is missing, the westbound left lane is too narrow, and even though nearby roads have new cycleways being built, they aren’t rebuilding the footpath and shoulder in a consistent manner, they’re just usng a standard concrete blob up against a narrowed traffic lane.
Edinburgh Avenue heads in just the right direction that at 7pm the sun is in your eyes when you drive. Normally there’s never someone there with a Stop/Slow sign, certainly not at any of the hours I ever drive past there. But last night people were driving past the guy holding the stop/slow sign showing Stop last night because nobody could see more than an outline of some drunk guy walking on the road with the sun in their eyes. Those signs can’t be seen with the sun in your eyes. Of all the times you could try and schedule movements requiring traffic control, it has to be at sunset on a road like that? WTF?
This is just a symtom of what’s wrong in general with workplace safety in Canberra. It’s more important to be seen to be doing the right thing, than actually doing the right thing. As long as the boxes are ticked, and it’s somebody elses problem…

Smartphone typing can be a bitch, can’t it!
Especially when you have to keep merging all the time.
Curse you Keijidosha and others, now I have that song firmly stuck on “repeat” in my frontal cortex! Any consequent psychiatrist bills will be yours to pay…

Where’s the blitz?
Oh, I see a man at the back as a matter of fact, his eyes are as red as a sun… and a girl in the corner, let no one ignore her ’cause she thinks she’s the passionate one.
Oh, yeah, it was like lightning. Everybody was frightening
Then the band started leaving. So they all started grieving.
Nobody asked Mike, Steve and Andy if they were ready prior to saying “Let’s go”. This has obviously resulted in a whole bunch of safety problems.

The Luftwaffe will be bombing tonight, and the panzers and infantry will crush all resistance before sunrise tomorrow.
