Went to collect some tickets from Ticketek in the City and was shocked to find that they are no longer there!
They’ve been replaced by some sort of Mini Bar opening soon..anyone know any more info?

Wait, this is an old thread, it just opened apparently, and it turns out they do serve food up there. I will check it out when I get time.

According to the lovely staff at Digress (under Ticketek, previously the Akuna Club) they have plans for setting up shop up there.
Yep, Digress’ proprietor told me earlier in the year when I last ate there that they were expanding upstairs into that space. Digress has a great lounge area but I’m guessing she wants something a bit more open to draw in customers who aren’t just coming for food (good food, I might add).
I’ll definitely check it out once it opens.

Please let it be wine bar with a wide range of grown up wine at reasonable prices.
A first for Canberra and long overdue
Not really a first, Benchmark at the Novotel, what used to be Parlour (now burnt down), at the diamant, not really wine, but The Ox does great whisky.
Benchmark – no, reasonable prices, not 400% markups
Parlour – well if it existed it would fit the bill
The other two – well I’m more thinking wine rather than other drinks+100
$84 for Teusner Riebke, $88 for Ruffino Chianti Classico? Call me silly but id prefer to sit home and drink Clonakilla Shiraz Viongier or similar
The straw that broke the camel’s back for me was 2001 LaTour du Haut Moulin at $150. I have a few that I paid $39 for at retail and so LUC would have been $25 or $30. That’s just treating your customers like mugs.

Where are you talking about? There hasn’t been a Tickettek office in Canberra for a long time. They work through agents now, Westfield Woden and Belco, AIS Arena, ANU Union and Songland. I think there’s a couple more.
One hopes they don’t charge you an additional $5.50 to hand you what you have just purchased
