Mont Sale

Knowing that there is alot of riders here I thought this was a good place to start.

Each year I go to the Mont sale at Fyshwick.

It is usually around this time of year have I missed it or is it coming up?

According to the Snowsports ACT website, their sale is due to be held on the 2nd Saturday in May. I put that as being Saturday 9 May.

If goretex gloves and mittens are your thing, check out the Ocean and Earth factory on the south coast next time you’re near Nowra. I have a pile of gloves I still haven’t used yet, they fit well and are tough. In fact I was wearing them when bitten by the baby mole I was rescuing, and he didn’t get through the kevlar stuff on the palms and fingers. Their mittens are also excellent. They weren’t $5, from memory that lot were $10 per pair.

I might check out the Mont thing. I certainly don’t need any outdoor gear, but it’s nice to see what’s there. I got a great pair of single camber patterned base touring skis at teh last Qbn sale, a staff member was flogging them off.

I bought a “pair” if gortex mitts there about eight or nine years ago.

There are different colours, but for $5 at then time, they have served my very well.

Winter/ski clothing, tents, backpacks, pretty much their entire range.
I love Mont gear, it’s first class.

Just got off the phone with a lovely bloke named Andrew.

The sale is on this weekend at 8 Ipswick St Fyshwick.

They are open Midday-8pm on Thursday, 9-6 Friday and Saturday and 10-3 Sunday.

I beleive it starts on Thursday and runs to Sunday. Details aren’t handy … anyone know more?

I thought they’d gone to NZ? I used to love their factory sale in Qbn, but they upped sticks and said they were off to NZ (with One Planet, that was a great sale too!).
