ACT Policing is investigating a grass fire which occurred in Tuggeranong yesterday (Thursday January, 23).
At about 2.10pm, ACT Emergency Services Agency responded to reports of a fire in a grassed area next to the Lake Tuggeranong Bridge on Athllon Drive.
ACT Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire and police established a crime scene.
A number of witnesses reported hearing a loud explosive noise prior the fire.
AFP Forensics assessed the area and ACT Policing will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident and has not yet spoken with police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
