I also used the plastic wrap on the windows in a previous house and can recommend it. Very simple to attach, as long as the windows have enough depth in the frames. Some windows don’t unfortunately. My present house has double glazing and honey-combed blinds.

I have got curtains from this site called Curtains4 Australia and they were excellent and cheap. It is a totally Engrish site (just for bringing your windows more surprises!) but they are really well made and give so much choice. You have to measure yourself, if you go the custom made option, so read the ‘how to measure’ guide carefully.

“Had their curtains done” sounds like you want your existing curtains cleaned, but then you link to a previous thread about getting new curtains installed. Perhaps you’d like to clarify?

I’ve previously recommended Colour Curtains – 6257 3717. A recent quote we got from Les was 45% below the quote from another business. Having used him previously we know that the quality is still high, but being a small operator keeps his overheads very low. He has superb attention to detail too.

I don’t have curtains, as I’m not fond of the look. I use insulated blinds instead. They are honeycombed and fold up to a small size allowing lots of light and sunlight into my rooms during the day. Plus it’s nice to have a view, even if it’s only the side view. Have you considered these?
