ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation team is attending a two vehicle collision which occurred in Gowrie today (September 7).
Police first attended the incident around 3.47pm on Ashley Drive at the intersection of Statton Street where a rural school bus and a Silver Lancer had collided.
Three males from the Silver Lancer, all aged in there late teens to early twenties, have been transported to The Canberra Hospital. The most concerning being the front passenger who remains in a serious condition. None of the 41 passengers travelling on the bus were injured and a replacement service has transported them from the scene.
Ashley Drive between the intersections of Statton Street and Clive Steele Avenue remain closed in both directions and police would urge the public to avoid the area.
Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collisions and has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
