The University of Canberra’s Jessica Kent at NowUC has posted to YouTube an excellent piece on tattooing in Canberra, as well as tattoo removal, regrets, and a growing DIY trend.
The deadpan delivery really lets some brilliant quotes shine through.

The Pebbles would be lucky to have the combined intelligence to spell the guy’s surname
Hey guys thanks so much for the great response for my uni assignment. I didn’t expect it to leave the hands of my teacher to be honest :S.
But I don’t think “Chey” has to worry about getting a knock on his door. The tattoo gun is actually mine. I bought it off ebay to make this story. And as you can see in the footage, they are actually just going over old tattoos for the sake of helping me out with some footage. They were the only crazy (or drunk enough) friends I had who would do it.
Ah… the things you do to pass in uni. We are the future people. A scary future indeed!! haha
Cheers all,
Jessica Kent
Somehow I don’t think Chey will be a real threat to the established Tattoo shops. Unless he opens a Toes only Tat shop…might be something in that.
Many people these days seem to tattoo any old crap all over themselves. It has really devalued the concept of having an image put onto you permanently, I reckon.
It’s like a bogan fashion statement (if there is such a thing).
