ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred yesterday (December 3) at the United Service Station in Fyshwick.
About 9.22pm the offender entered the service station on Canberra Avenue brandishing a knife and demanded money from the 38-year-old male attendant. The attendant opened the register and handed over a sum of cash. The offender immediately left the service station and made off on foot in a westerly direction. Police patrols attended the scene just after the incident but sweeps of the area failed to identify any suspects.
The offender is described as about 5’10” (178cms) tall, clean shaven, with a fair complexion and a solid build. He was wearing black pants, a white and grey hooded top and runners.
Police are seeking anyone who may know the identity of the offender or who may have seen suspicious behaviour around the United Service Station last night to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.
