Zoo Weekly brings us the happy news that a Canberran has made their list of Un-Australians for 2011.
Who could be but our hero Joel Monaghan?
Beaten out for top spot by god and Julian Assange, but a solid effort regardless.
Woof woof!

Assange?
A strange, strange man with an ego the size of a planet.
+1. In order for this man to be Australian of the year he would need to return home and ply his ‘trade’ here IMHO.
I think Monaghan should change his name, if he doesn’t now, he surely will in the future!
cleo said :
Julian keeps them truthful, exposes their lies.
What Monaghan would be legal in New Zealand lol
What he did is legal in Canberra too.
Assange and Monaghan cannot be compared.
One is fighting for honest government and the other…
So Assange is un-Australian because he sees it as his mission in life to ensure transparency in the dealings of our corporate, bureaucratic and political leaders? And here I was thinking that being Stralyin was sticking it to the man, rebelling against authority and having a natural distrust of those in power.
I guess that for the average semi-literate, ultra-bogan Zoo reader, a pseudo intellectual, albino computer geek can’t be held up as the peoples hero in the fight against the ruling classes.
I’m surprised Monaghan made the list considering what he did was the sort of thing that would appeal to the sense of humour of the typical NRL Footy Show viewer and Zoo reader.

WTF?
God I’ll buy – that bastard (I assume they’re talking about Jehova) is distinctly unAustralian – what a wowser killjoy!
But Julian’s a hero! He should be Australian of the Year!
And Monaghan? Pft. Dog ****ing’s perfectly respectable passtime in some parts of Oz.
