ACT Policing arrested a 34-year-old Theodore woman last night (Friday 25 February) for aggravated robbery.
Around 7.45pm last night the woman entered the Electric Shadows bookshop in Braddon. After waiting for other customers to leave, the woman produced a knife and demanded cash from the two staff members. The woman was handed an amount of cash from the staff members and left the store.
Shortly after 8.00pm police located a woman matching the description in the Braddon area. The woman’s handbag was searched and a knife, a sum of money and books belonging to the bookshop were located.
The woman was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House. She will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with aggravated robbery.
