Sorry about my last post. I’ve just checked their email and discovered that the first Computer Fair at Tuggeranong basketball stadium will be held NEXT Saturday (May 21), not this weekend. Nothing like early warning, eh?
The Computer Fair which was previously at Woden CIT on a temporary basis after the problems with the Woden Southern Cross basketball stadium earlier this year is now being held at Southern Cross basketball stadium Tuggeranong (Saturday 10:00 – 14:30).
Apparently the Tuggeranong stadium has been subcontracted to another landlord and the problems which shut down the fair at Woden do not apply in this instance. If not, we’ll soon hear about it.
The Durham in Kingston is putting on ‘Chicks’ Cocktails’ from 5:30pm tomorrow night. $29.90 for bubbles on arrival, two cocktails, canapes and then $5 cocktails for the rest of the night.
Bel’s Aviary will be running a Style Session showing how to give this season’s fashion a unique twist with vintage pieces, Mest Hair will be talking about trends for AW11 and there’ll be tips on dressing for your body shape etc.
Tickets on sale from The Duz.
FA Cup Final Night hosted by Tuggeranong United Football Club, at Vikings Erindale – Brumby’s Bar from 9pm Saturday night. No cost. Game starts at 12:30am.

The Basement
2 Cohen Street
Belconnen ACT 2617
(The Basement is basically across the road and a few steps down the hill from Project Lighting and the medical centre; or just a few steps up the hill from Bing Lee and the Chinese restaurant – I think that it used to be the Whitewood Warehouse!)

Harmonie German Club
49 Jerrabomberra Avenue, Narrabundah, ACT 2604
FREE ENTRY (part of the Friday Night Acoustic series)
(the easiest access to the club seems to be the service road that runs parallel to Jerrabomberra Avenue (on the Fyshwick side of the road) – the club is near the Jerrabomberra Ave/Goyder St roundabout – I think there is a vet next to the club)
