The National Capital Authority has announced that Don Aitken has moved on from their Chair, and Shelly Penn will act in the position while the Government considers the future of the organisation.
Mr Crean said Ms Penn’s appointment will maintain continuity in the leadership of the NCA as the Federal Government prepares to respond to Dr Allan Hawke’s report on the independent review of the NCA.
“Ms Penn has been a member of the NCA since the beginning of 2010 and has made important contributions to the organisation’s work,” Mr Crean said.
Ms Penn replaces outgoing Chairman, Professor Don Aitkin AO, whose term expired on 28 October 2011, having served in the role since 2008.
