So what have Canberrans been searching Google for in the last week?
Modern Warfare 3 losing out to Elder Scrolls.
Followed by some weather searches and cricket.
The day of the nerd is truly upon us.

Probably helps that they are run/owned by a developer/programmer (Gabe Newell) who is hugely respected and actually responds to customers directly and they don’t ignore their customers.

Or, maybe not.
Yeah, except you have to play it through Steam, even says so on the retail box. I am not to fussed about the steam hacking, changed my passwords and I have purchase monitoring on my card anyway.
Unlike Sony, Steam have the respect of a lot of serious gamers and are trusted. Probably helps that they are run/owned by a developer/programmer (Gabe Newell) who is hugely respected and actually responds to customers directly and they don’t ignore their customers.

Skyrim uses Steamworks, so the only way to avoid Steam is to pirate it.
What happened to the days when a lot of people were surfing the net single-handedly??
I have been playing Modern Warfare 3 for PC. Excellent, brilliant game. Awesome story, nerdgasm inducing. Starring Capt Price and Soap McTavish.
however buyer beware,
I was %75 through the single player campaign a couple of nights ago – absolutely loving it when the game crashed at a certain spot. I’m talking black screen divide by zero kind of crash – had to pull the power to the PC as it wouldn’t even hard reset from the PC’s reset button. Restarted PC and game, to have is crash in the same spot again. Thought I could get around the spot for a third time but on restarting the PC – my hard-drive no longer had a partition. 50gigs and 3 years worth of business and bookmarks. gone. On the upside my PC now boots up in under 5 seconds because there is nothing on it! Beware however!

The series was originally made for PC but has been adapted for other consoles. Looks and plays best on PC, xbox doesnt like the textures or detail.
One could argue that the (god awful) interface is perfect for xbox controllers and sucks eggs for PC mouse/keyboard input.
Just as well the game itself is awesome. 😛
Yes, it is available on PC and I highly recommend you get a digital key from somewhere like Green Man Gaming and download it from Steam rather than paying our rip-off retail prices. Also the X-box and PS3 versions reportedly have rubbish graphics compared to PC, as expected.
Just be warned, I didn’t sleep Thursday or Friday night as I was too busy playing Skyrim. Without a doubt it is the prettiest game yet on PC.
Wait, is that the right table?
I mean, if 2 people searched Skyrim previously, and then 7 new people search Skyrim, doesn’t that make 350%? So it could just be that those “rising” searches are coming off a low base?
And damn, to answer Devil’s question I just became searcher number 8…. According to Wiki, its PC as well. Confirmed at company website.
Meanwhile is the table on the left in that link saying the ACT’s most searched term is “Canberra”? That’s as part of a longer string of words, right? As in “Resturants in Canberra”, no?

So can someone tell me if skyrim is available for PC or is it just xbox 360 and PS3?
