A 22-year-old Watson man sought by police will face the ACT Magistrates Court this afternoon on multiple charges, including forcible confinement and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The charges relate to an alleged series of incidents in which this defendant and another man, a 29-year-old from Hackett, confined and assaulted a 25-year-old man at a unit in Hackett from 10pm on Wednesday (July 11) until 10am the next day (July 12).
The victim was taken to The Canberra Hospital, where he was treated for injuries sustained during the assault.
Police arrested and charged the 29-year-old accomplice on July 13.
The Watson man surrendered to police at City Police Station late this morning.
