An investigation has begun into the death of a 74-year-old woman who police say had been residing in “extremely poor” living conditions.

Paramedics took the woman to the Canberra Hospital on Tuesday (1 July) after a family member sought assistance for her.

“She was experiencing multiple medical and physical conditions,” an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

The woman died the following day (2 July).
