Why can’t Lahni find her forever home? Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Looking to add some personality to your home? Whether you’re after a clever companion to keep up with your daily adventures, or a rabbit to entertain you with its antics, these two might be just what you’re searching for.
Dog of the Week: Lahni
RSPCA ACT has recently been heavily marketing its adult, long-term resident dogs with great success. Perhaps you recall Boss, Rambo, Thea, Coco and Merida? All have featured here and all now have loving new homes.
Except Lahni. Somehow she’s missed out. Despite how friendly and lovely she truly is.
This girl has been a stalwart of our campaign, a truly affectionate dog, just two-years-old and a favourite of our staff and volunteers. We’ve spent so much time with Lahni, she thinks this is where she lives.
She’s learned to walk on a lead, to trust humans and truly blossom into a great pet.
She’s a clinger, she’ll love you and your time spent together will be magical. If you’re seeking a new companion, come and visit Lahni the sweetheart.

Rabbit of the Week: Carmen
Carmen is a delightful little girl who arrived at our shelter with her brother. She’s used to living in an outdoor run as well as indoors and living with other rabbits.
She’s sweet, nice to approach and pat, and will soon settle into a new home.
Funnily enough she and her brother (Bailey) don’t really get along so there’s no need to adopt both, although both are here.
We think Carmen would flourish with an experienced rabbit owner, even if you have an existing female rabbit. Our staff have already started litter-tray training her so she’s well on the way to being a “safe” indoor pet.
Drop in and visit Carmen (and Bailey) and see how soft and sweet they are.
Pawnote: A special thank you to all who took our invitation to visit our older adult dogs in recent weeks. Seeing them being adopted is the best reward for us and we’re forever appreciative.
