ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault in Conder yesterday morning (Tuesday, December 11).
Around 9am, a 14-year-old girl was walking along Heidelberg Street near the Vikings Club when she was approached by a man.
The man spoke to the girl before grabbing her left arm. She broke free, hit the man across his face and ran away. She was unharmed in the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s with a muscular build, closely shaved hair and clean-shaven. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black skinny jeans and spoke with a strong Australian accent.
Anyone who witnessed the incident yesterday morning in Conder, or can assist police in identifying the man described above is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
