Looking for a new pet to add a sparkle to your household? RSPCA ACT has some wonderful and affectionate animals desperate to show you love, including a smiley staffy and an affectionate kitty.
Dog of the Week: Haddie
Haddie is a little staffy whose love for life and everything in it shines from the moment you see her and that big, staffy smile.
Some dogs will be barking at you when you stroll down our kennel lanes, but not Haddie. She’ll be sitting there smiling, just happy to see you and the prospect of playtime.
Haddie is still a puppy, aged four months and has developed well. She walks well on a lead and loves a game of tug-of-war or fetch. What she really needs is a bit of routine and discipline; it’s her excitable nature that we’ve managed to tone down, but that will need to stay consistent in your home.
Come and see the little sweetheart today, you’ll just love her.

Cat of the Week: Twirl
Twirl is a somewhat older cat (she’s 10, but I got hammered on Facebook for saying 10-year-old cats are old, so I’m refraining) and full of affection.
When you visit her, she’ll take a few moments to make up her mind, but when she does, she’ll be your best friend. We think she’s previously enjoyed a home with no other cats, so she’ll need that status quo.
One of her fun features is that she’s a social eater. She wouldn’t eat at our shelter until one of us sat with her, so if you want a dinner companion each evening, Twirl is your girl!
Twirl (and few other ‘somewhat’ older cats) are available for adoption now, drop into our shelter and find your perfect match today. Mature cats make terrific companions.
Pawnotes: BOTH of last week’s Pets of the Week were adopted! Magnificent effort, we are very lucky to have Canberra’s support and we appreciate it every day.
Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
