ACT Policing has appealed for anyone with footage of a black sedan that smashed into a concrete wall in Parkes to contact them.

Police were called to Kings Avenue at about 8:30 pm on Friday (28 November) after reports a black Mazda 3, with ACT registration YNL 44A, had crashed.

Witnesses told officers they had seen the sedan speeding before it hit the wall.

The alleged driver, a 26-year-old man, was subject to alcohol and drug screening tests. Police said both returned positive results.

“The man was immediately issued with a suspension notice, suspending his driver’s licence for 90 days. He will face court at a later date,” an ACT Policing statement read.
